Clinician Bio

Nadia Souayed is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in trauma recovery and brain-based healing. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and is trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.

Nadia integrates neuroscience and attachment-informed principles to help adults understand how trauma impacts the brain, nervous system, and relational patterns. She works extensively with complex trauma, including experiences of sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, and attachment-related wounds. Her approach emphasizes nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and addressing trauma at its root to support sustainable recovery.

Based in Los Angeles, Nadia provides telehealth services and delivers culturally responsive, individualized care within a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. Within Ocean Psychiatry: A Salma Health affiliated clinic, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure psychotherapy aligns with coordinated treatment plans and long-term stability.

Outside of her clinical work, Nadia finds inspiration in literature, the arts, and architecture, and prioritizes time with friends, fitness, and overall well-being.
