John Barone is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults navigating somatic symptoms, eating disorders, trauma, and identity exploration within the LGBTQ+ community. His work focuses on helping individuals better understand the connection between emotional experiences, physical responses, and patterns of coping.

John earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Somatic Psychotherapy from Antioch University. He integrates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and somatic approaches to support emotional regulation, insight, and sustainable change.

Drawing from his experience working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and members of the LGBTQ+ community, John prioritizes creating a supportive, affirming therapeutic environment. His approach balances compassion and directness, helping individuals explore difficult experiences while building resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful personal growth.
