Licensed Clinician

Sara Sanobari, MS, LMFT, is a licensed clinician with eight years of experience delivering evidence-based psychological care across the full continuum of mental health services. Her clinical background spans intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs, crisis residential treatment centers, county-funded community mental health agencies serving individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders, as well as private practice. Through this breadth of experience, Ms. Sanobari has cultivated a nuanced understanding of complex clinical presentations and the intersection between acute stabilization and long-term therapeutic recovery.

Ms. Sanobari’s clinical interests encompass mood and anxiety disorders, family conflict, cross-cultural counseling, transitional aged youth and life transitions. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with a focus on tailoring interventions to the unique developmental, cultural and contextual needs of each client. Her graduate research examined the application of CBT within clinical populations, and she continues to emphasize empirically supported methods that promote psychological flexibility, emotional regulation and adaptive functioning across the lifespan.
